1. Eligibility for Refunds

We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

  • Subscription Cancellations: If you cancel your subscription within 7 days of purchase or renewal, you are eligible for a full refund. This applies to monthly, quarterly, or annual plans.
  • Service Issues: If our platform experiences significant downtime (more than 24 continuous hours) or fails to deliver core features (e.g., AI tools, collaboration spaces) due to our fault, you may request a refund for the affected billing period.
  • Unsatisfactory Experience: If you are not satisfied with the Service within the first 7 days of your subscription, you may request a refund, provided you have not extensively used premium features (e.g., generating more than 5 AI-assisted research outputs).

2. Non-Refundable Cases

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • After the 7-day refund window has passed.
  • If you violate our Terms of Service, leading to account suspension or termination.
  • For free trial periods or promotional offers, as no payment is involved.
  • If you fail to cancel your subscription before the auto-renewal date and the 7-day window has expired.

3. Refund Process

To request a refund:

  1. Submit a Request: Contact us at support@researchbuddy.tech within 7 days of your payment or the issue occurrence. Include your account details, payment receipt, and a brief explanation of your request.
  2. Review: We will review your request within 5 business days and may contact you for additional information.
  3. Processing: If approved, your refund will be processed within 10 business days to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.

4. Pro-Rated Refunds

For annual subscriptions canceled after the 7-day window but within the first 30 days, we may offer a pro-rated refund for the unused portion of your subscription, minus a 10% administrative fee, at our discretion.

5. Compliance with Bangladeshi Law

We adhere to the Consumer Right Protection Act 2009, ensuring fair treatment in refund requests. You have the right to a refund if the Service does not meet the standards promised at the time of purchase, and we will address such issues promptly.
